Time is money, and the quicker we teach it to our kids the better investor they will become. Hence, it is important for us to know teach our kids about time, its value and its management. In this part of Daily Time Management Tips series, I will talk about ways in which we can teach our kids to be a savvy time investor.
You may be wondering how making kids clean their room will make them time savvy? Well, a neatly organized place surroundings keeps us happy and on the job. As a kid they may not realize the importance of this, but as soon as they grow up they will learn why to keep the room clean. Finding things in an organized room is easy and it saves time.
Putting things back in their places is one of the ways to save time. Generally, a kid will pick a pen or book from one place and put it in another. This is not a good practice. If your kid does not develop this habit of putting the things back in the place where it belonged then he will waste a lot of time in searching for the stuff in time of need. Tell him that this habit of putting the things back in their places will help them form a habit, which will eventually reduce unnecessary burden from their memory.
Delegate work and responsibilities to your kids and teach them how to shoulder responsibility. This will help them accomplish a lot many things when they will grow up. Stat with delegating small household works to them, and reward them when they have completed the work successfully.
