In this part, I will tell you how to work your way around and neutralize the disadvantages of work from home career.

How to neutralize disadvantages of work from home career

I know the disadvantages I talked about must have pricked the enthusiasm in some of you, but like any other disadvantages, these can also be turned around. For this, all you have to do is look for the solution.

Countering Loneliness: It is true that the life of a work from home professional is often spent stroking keyboard and clicking mouse button in a corner at home. The absence of boss, colleagues, and subordinates may cause disorientation in many professionals, but you can handle this by being in touch with fellow co-workers, who like you are working from their home. You can talk to them, chat with them, talk on Facebook, meet on weekends, etc. This will most likely solve the loneliness problem.
Countering poor work schedule: Well, the cure for this problem shall come from within. You need to adhere to make a routine and stick to it. No one, but you can fix your work schedule by teaching yourself discipline.
Countering domestic work interference: Let’s face it household choirs are as important as your professional work, so you need to take time out to finish those works. Your family depends on the completion of those works.
Countering distraction: There are many ways to counter distractions. You can build your home-office in the corner-most reason of your home where generally no one goes. You can keep the cell phones, IMs, social networking sites, twitter, etc. switched off.

As you saw, you do not need much to turn the disadvantages of work from home career into advantages. Just a change in perspective and a willingness to do the work have done the trick.
