Family is our backbone, the support system we need to sustain our life. We depend on our families for many things, and if you try to make list of things for which you are dependent on your family then you will have a hard time listing everything. We all know the importance of happy family for us, but still there are occasions when our family life gets strained the bond that we share with people becomes weaker.

This is not just your story. It happens to most of us, for most of us never care to walk an extra mile to keep the bond intact. In this short blog-post, I will share seven tips that will help you keep your family life happy.

Shared activity:

When was the last time you took your family for a picnic or to see a zoo?

Housework

I remember when I was a kid I used to help my parents in cleaning the house during festivals. Do you do the cleaning work together, or do you hire someone to clean your garden, terrace, and backyard? If you clean the house together, you will share some fun moment, which will strengthen the family bond.

Listening

Do you listen to what your kids and spouse has to say, or you just think they are two young and too immature to think straight? When was the last time you actively listened to them?

Complement

A sincere complement goes a long way. When was the last time you complimented your young daughter for helping you out do your work? And when did you praise your son for keeping his room tidy?

Cooking

Have you cooked with your wife lately? Well, cooking is not just about making meal, it is about sharing time as well. Have you done that?

Exercise

Well, not everyone can have a personal home gym where the entire family can work out together, but everyone can go to the same gym with his family or for a walk. This will not only motivate you, but it will also make the activity fun.

Jokes

Do you share jokes with your family? When was the last time that you made your family laugh out loud by making fool of yourself or by cracking a very nutty joke?

Technology has changed everything: the way we talk, the way we walk, the way we listen, and the way we see, and many changes has bad effect on us. I am not a pessimist, so I will not go on fault finding spree in the technology we use in our daily life. I know how wonderful it is, but still, technology is always susceptible to misuse and overuse. If the use of technology can improve the quality of our life then the misuse of it can have detrimental effect on the quality of our life. Our eyes, fingers, backbone, back, ears, and neck are more susceptible to damage, but the body part that is more prone to illness is our eyes. Eyes are the most vulnerable part of our body, and the sad thing is, for the most part of the day, they are exposed to screen radiations from our laptop, television, portable video player, or cell phone. To maintain a good vision, we need to get alarmed at the sight of any of the following warning signs:

Burning eye: Doctors say splashing cold water on eyes with burning sensation is only a short-term solution for the problem that could have a very bad effect in the long run.

Dryness: Dry eyes are the first warning sign send by your eyes. Do not overlook this symptom. Use lubricating drop to fight off this problem.

Watery eyes: No, this is not the tear you are shedding for your mom or your girlfriend. It is a side effect of spending too much time in front of your PC. Watery eyes are the witness of the stress your eyes are bearing.

Double vision or blurring: if you leave the stressed eyes untreated for long, you will end up seeing two people where there is just one, and in some cases the vision also get blurred.

Redness or irritation: so, you worked day and night to finish that project, and you even do not bother to take a break. The irritation you are feeling in your eyes are the direct result of those break-less hours. Even the redness is because of that.

Headaches: If you are getting frequent headaches accompanied by severe eye pain, it could be computer eye syndrome. Get it treated.

Prickly eyes: One feels prickling sensation when one works on any digital screen for long without any breaks.

Your eyes are precious. It helps you see the colors, rainbow, butterfly, and even that hot girl in your neighborhood; hence keep it safe!
