Work becomes less stressful and more productive, if we manage our time properly. In this concluding part of the Daily Time Management Tips series I will talk about some behavioral changes that will make your team more effective. As a leader of your team, it is your job to make sure that your employees are less stressed due to work and they accomplish more in less time.
An office with a cluttered drawers and file storages is not an uncommon sight. People tend to stuff their papers in the drawer, as if they are not going to need it ever in their life. But contrary to what they think, they will need it soon. Hence, as a leader it is your duty to motivate your team member to keep their drawers and storage spaces organized.
You can also get your team members to clean-up the office space one a month or quarter. Get rid of all unnecessary papers and old communication of which you have soft copies.
This may seem bizarre, but even after decades of e-mail invention, there are people who do not like to use it as a primary means of work-related communication. You should encourage e-mail communication among your team members and outside of it. Ask to use e-mail as primary mode of communication. Also tell them to keep the e-mail short, sweet, and simple.
There are certain things in our office that need to be standardized. Provide a standard format for communication like sales letter, order letter, report filing, etc., and ask your team to adhere to the format. This will help your team save time, and as it is, no one hope to read Márquez in the sales letter.

Till now, everyone said to you that freelancing is fun, and it gives you a control over what you want to do and how you want do the work assigned to you. You do not have a boss, and no one is going to tell you when to work and when to sleep.
Well…
This is not far from the truth but there is another point of view on this matter, which I am going to share in this blog post.
You should not take freelancing as a career if:
Well, if you do not want a boss for yourself than freelancing is not a career choice for you, indeed, you do not have “a boss” here, but you have bosses here. Your clients are your boss and often they will be more than one in number, and everyone will be asking for your 100 percent attention to his or her work, so if you feel uncomfortable in working with a boss then look somewhere else, freelancers have more than one bosses.
If occasional late night shifts make you convulse then freelancing may not be a right career choice for you. You need to work day in and day out, sometime without a break for days, if you want to be successful as a freelancer. Freelancing is a business, not a fix-time job. It will require your 1000 percent contribution, not just your presence in the employer’s office.
Contrary to what you think, freelancers are supposed to be more efficient than the regular fix-time employee. Your client is outsourcing his work, instead of hiring someone fulltime to do that work, because he or she wants more work done by paying less dollars.
I know, “how much is less and how many is too many” are relative concepts.
As a freelancer, you will have to make many decisions. Decisions related to work, finance, time, negotiations and what not. You are running a one-man show, if you are freelancing. Can you do it? Do you have it in you?

Refrigerator and installation? Don’t we just plug it into the socket and it gets going? If this is how you think refrigerators are made operational then this title might have sounded intriguing. Let’s break the bad news, contrary to the popular belief this is not the right way to start using your refrigerator. It requires proper installation before you can use it to its maximum capacity without damaging the machine. In order to install your refrigerator, you need to pass through the following three steps: location setup, transportation, and Installation. Let’s discuss each one of them individually.
Location setup: As we all know a household refrigerator is conceived and designed to be used indoor, so keep it away from direct sun light. Another thing that you need to care about while installing is the proximity of the heat source to the refrigerator. Do not install it near an oven, a dishwasher, a stove, a radiator or any other kind of heat source. The ideal temperature range in which the refrigerator will work effectively and efficiently lies between 55° F (13° C) and 110° F (43° C). Installing a refrigerator in the room that has temperature higher than 110° F (43° C) will damage the machine. Also, give enough breathing space (at least ½”) at the back and at the top of the refrigerator for the air to circulate freely.
Transportation: Moving a refrigerator is slightly tricky. Always move the refrigerator upright, and if it is a problem then consider laying it on its back while transporting. Never move a refrigerator on its side. Once the refrigerator is brought to the desired location, allow at least 30 minutes for the refrigerator to sit upright before switching it on to avoid any internal damage to the machine.
Installation: A proper leveling is an important part of the installation process. If the refrigerator is properly leveled then the refrigerator door would shut by itself, if opened to a 45-degree angle. Set the level at the top and move the refrigerator in its place. If the refrigerator is not properly leveled, remove the front grill from refrigerator’s feet, and use the adjustment screw to either push the front legs of the refrigerator up or down, depending upon the requirement. Leveling screws could be found in the front corners of the leveling feet. If you got a refrigerator with water and ice dispenser facility then connect the supply line to the back of the fridge. Now, run the refrigerator empty for at least 4 hours, before stuffing it with food items and leftovers.
