One of the ways to go more environmentally friendly in your home that you may not have even thought about, is through your pet. If you have a dog or cat, chances are they have a carbon footprint, just as you do, from the products you purchase and use with them. Sometimes this can be doing more damage to the environment than you may think, which is exactly why, as with everything else in life, you should strive to be more green with your pet care. Not only will you be helping the environment, but you’ll have a healthier and happier pet as a result.
A great place to start, is when you get a new pet. If you’re thinking about adding to your family of animals at home, before you think about purchasing a new dog or cat, think about adopting one instead. There are already too many animals than we can possibly take care of, so consider saving the life of a cat or dog that could end up being put to sleep from too long a stay at an animal shelter. Plus not purchasing your pet ensures you don’t support a puppy mill, which is only adding to our animal overcrowding problem.
Another change you should make is in the sort of food that you buy for your pet. Buying the run of the mill dog or cat chow brands is not only unhealthy in the long run for your pet, but is also harmful for the environment to produce. Low end pet foods contain a plethora of pesticides and chemicals, both of which end up polluting the air and land when they are sprayed, and also pollute your pet every time they eat a bowl of food. The organic brands may be more expensive, but they also have more rigorous food standard tests from the USDA, so not only is your pet eating healthier food, but you’re also ensuring you don’t support a brand that mindlessly sprays pesticides into the environment.
If you have a cat the type of litter you use could be everything. In most store brands of either clay, or rocks, you’ll notice kick up a lot of dust when you are scooping or pouring the litter. This dust is harmful to your lungs and your pets, not to mention are just harmful in general to have floating about the air or sitting around a garbage dump. You want to stay away from those sorts of cat litter, and instead go for something organic like Feline Pine, which produces no harmful dust and is completely biodegradable.
Finally, for bating your pets, try to stick to organic brands. They work just as well, but don’t contain any chemicals that are harmful to put down your drain and pump into your local water source. They are easier on our environmental resources to produce, and healthier for you to use on your pet. So in actuality, everybody wins.

The most common choice for pontoon deck protection is purchasing a deck cover to cover the deck of the pontoon boat when the boat is not in use. You can purchase pontoon boat deck covers that will only partially cover the boat, or covers that will cover the entire boat, protecting every inch against the elements.
When your pontoon boat is continuously exposed to the elements it can become damaged easily, and wear out much more quickly than it would if you continuously use a pontoon boat cover over the duration of your ownership of the boat.
Pontoon boat deck covers can be purchased in a variety of different sizes, designed to fit each individual pontoon boat perfectly. When purchasing a pontoon boat cover make sure you are purchasing a cover that is designed for the particular brand, model, and size of pontoon boat that you have. It is important for a pontoon boat cover to fit your pontoon boat well in order to ensure that it is as protected as possible by the cover.
A pontoon boat that has been treated well, and routinely covered when not in use will also have a higher resale value than a comparable model that has not been protected. A regularly protected pontoon boat will look cleaner and newer overall, and be a much more desirable vessel for boating adventure.
Another part of your pontoon boat deck to look at protecting is any seats and upholstered items that you have located on an exposed part of your deck. When exposed to the sun, the colors in these items tend to fade and can begin to look old and dilapidated. The upholstery in a chair that has never been sat in, can eventually wear out due to sun and wind exposure, as well as exposure to other elements. For this reason it is important to cover your deck and upholstery when your pontoon boat is not in use. You may also want to consider purchasing a canopy of some sort to go over the deck; this can help not only shield your furniture from harmful UV rays, but your passengers as well.

The fact is that you have many options to consider and many manufactures to choose from. Not all adjustable beds are the same quality, cost and durable as others. When it comes to purchasing the best option for you, you’ll want to consider several elements such as those that we have listed here today.
• Do not make rash decisions in adjustable bed purchases. Take the time to understand them and to consider several options. Not all offer the same qualities.
• Ask questions about the adjustable beds. How do they work? Why is this beneficial to you? And, what are they made out of? These are questions that you should have the answers to before you make any choice.
• What is the cost of the adjustable bed and what does that price include? Is there a warranty available? What is covered in it? And, is shipping, handling, set up and other delivery charges included or will those too be additional?
• You should know what benefit the manufacturer is claiming that the bed will have for you and just why that will happen. If you do not receive these benefits, are the costs refunded?
• If you can not test the best prior to making your purchase, is there some guarantee in place in case you simply do not like the bed?
