I got to be kidding. This bum (math), which killed the joy of our childhood, cannot come to haunt us again. It cannot be “the solution” for weight-loss, isn’t it?
Well, I am not so sure about “the solution thing,” but I am pretty much certain that I am not kidding, a simple math (not those monstrous calculations and symbols that we hated as a kid) can help us lose weight.
How?
I am about to tell you this, and hope you will follow the suggestions once it make sense to you. Do not worry the calculation I am going to give here is not like those arduous dieting regime that never worked. It will work.
1 Pound = 3,500 calories
So, if you want to lose 20 pound then you will need to lose
20 X 3,500 = 70, 000 calories
Now suppose, you want to lose this much weight in 3 months (90 days) then you will need to lose
(20 X 3,500)/90 = 777.78 calories/day
Just cut this much calories from your daily diet and you will be shed those unwanted 20 pounds in just 3 months. But what if you cannot cut 778 calories in a day? Will not you lose weight?
You can still lose weight, and for that, you will need to introduce another factor in the calculation. Let’s understand that we need to cut 778 calories to reduce 30 pounds in 90 days, which can either be done by solely reducing the intake of 778 calories per day—that may be difficult—or you can add some light exercise. Let’s do the math
Calories need to burn = 778/day
Let me assume that your weight is 200 pounds and decide to take a brisk walk for 30 minutes then the calculation will look loose around 300 calories (see the figure below for the complete chart). So, the calculation will look like:
Calories need to burn daily = 778
30 minutes of brisk walk = 300 calories
So, calories to cut from food = 778 – 300 = 448 calories
Now, you can do the rest of the calculation on your own. If you walk for an hour then you will just need to cut 148 (778-600) calories from what you need (see the charts below your daily calorie requirement).

Believe it or not, you are an expert.
Expert of what?
That you have to find out. Regardless of what others say, I am pretty much confident that you are an expert. Now the issue at hand is to make you realize that you are an expert. I am writing this series to help you realize your true potential. The first part will talk about the changes one need to bring in oneself in order to become an expert everyone looks at in your chosen niche.
Many people, despite knowing a great deal about certain topic, abstain from calling themselves an expert.
Why?
Because they are afraid of being an expert. They think being an expert is something that is beyond their reach, and they need to know more about the topic before they can be expert. Shed this no-expert syndrome with adding ABC specialist, or XYZ expert after you name. You do not need only to be an expert, you need to flaunt your expertise as well. You need to realize that you are an expert, and you need to tell others as well.
Get on top of the tallest building in your town, take very, very deep breath, hold it for 3-4 seconds, and expel all the air in your lung while shouting “I AM AN EXPERT”. I know this is a little exaggeration, but it will work. Have you taken it seriously?
Have you done some certificate course or completed a diploma or degree in fields related to your work? Any specialized certificate or any other course? Have you won some award or something? If your answer is yes to any or all of these then you all ready know more than others does. Start flaunting your credentials. Put it on your website and blog. Mention the most trust-worthy certificate in your signature line like, Mr. your name, XYZ certified expert.
Out of sight is out of mind, and it is out of market as well. Do not think that people will come knocking at your door because you are an expert. For the starter, no one knows that you are an expert of something. So, make them realize your true worth by writing a succinct and power-packed bio about yourself and post it on your website, blog, leaflet, and wherever you can. This is not those ugly self-glorifying behavior, simply put, it is a promotion that everyone does.
