We see economy going up and falling down, and on each turn of the economy many among us lose their jobs, which is disheartening. But at the same time, the firing spree caused by the economic downturn forces us to think about our financial position vis-à-vis options available to us. Starting your own business is one of them.

In every post of the 3 Businesses that Will Never Fail series, I will talk about 3 businesses that will thrive, regardless of what happens in the economy. Let’s begin this series with talking about food business.

Business related to food

No matter what shape economy takes, and how low it falls, people will continue to eat. Hence, the demand for food and related items will never go down. I am not saying that falling economy will not have any effect on the food industry. It does. People reduce the frequency of going out, but this result in the rise of take-away and home-delivery kind of foods.

If you want to start a business, you can start something related to food. Do a proper research before jumping in with all guns. Also check the rules pertaining to cooking, packaging and selling stuffs. You can also think of selling cakes, and confectionary business, as no one is going to stop celebrating birthdays, and wedding anniversaries, nor they are going to stop eating chocolates.

Business related to Cloths

Like food cloths are also a necessity for us, so we cannot do without it despite what happens to the economy. Yes, if our earning falls, we stop buying expensive cloths, nevertheless we buy cloths. Starting a business in this industry during a slowdown is also a good idea. Start providing budget line cloths and see how people flock around you.

I have been told that renting expensive clothes for special occasions can also be a good business model. The health factor and proper cleaning is the things you will have to care for, if you want to go for cloth rental.

Business related to Housing

People may sell their house and stop buying new ones due to the economic recession, but at no point they will stop leaving in the houses, therefore, a business related to house and housing will always get customers. You can think of going into housing repairs, mortgage, real estate brokerage, etc.

Before going into this field, make sure to check the skills required to succeed in businesses related to housing, as this is a completely skill-based industry.

Technology has changed everything: the way we talk, the way we walk, the way we listen, and the way we see, and many changes has bad effect on us. I am not a pessimist, so I will not go on fault finding spree in the technology we use in our daily life. I know how wonderful it is, but still, technology is always susceptible to misuse and overuse. If the use of technology can improve the quality of our life then the misuse of it can have detrimental effect on the quality of our life. Our eyes, fingers, backbone, back, ears, and neck are more susceptible to damage, but the body part that is more prone to illness is our eyes. Eyes are the most vulnerable part of our body, and the sad thing is, for the most part of the day, they are exposed to screen radiations from our laptop, television, portable video player, or cell phone. To maintain a good vision, we need to get alarmed at the sight of any of the following warning signs:

Burning eye: Doctors say splashing cold water on eyes with burning sensation is only a short-term solution for the problem that could have a very bad effect in the long run.

Dryness: Dry eyes are the first warning sign send by your eyes. Do not overlook this symptom. Use lubricating drop to fight off this problem.

Watery eyes: No, this is not the tear you are shedding for your mom or your girlfriend. It is a side effect of spending too much time in front of your PC. Watery eyes are the witness of the stress your eyes are bearing.

Double vision or blurring: if you leave the stressed eyes untreated for long, you will end up seeing two people where there is just one, and in some cases the vision also get blurred.

Redness or irritation: so, you worked day and night to finish that project, and you even do not bother to take a break. The irritation you are feeling in your eyes are the direct result of those break-less hours. Even the redness is because of that.

Headaches: If you are getting frequent headaches accompanied by severe eye pain, it could be computer eye syndrome. Get it treated.

Prickly eyes: One feels prickling sensation when one works on any digital screen for long without any breaks.

Your eyes are precious. It helps you see the colors, rainbow, butterfly, and even that hot girl in your neighborhood; hence keep it safe!
