This will help your prospective customers sample your product, and if they like it, they will see you as an expert in your niche.

If you want to establish yourself as an expert in your field then you should create information products like e-books, booklets, teleseminars, audio books, videos, etc, and give a portion of it free. This will help user sample your work, and if the information product you are offering is of any value, you will not only register sale but will also be seen as expert in your domain.
